Question: How long does it take to special order my wedding gown?
Answer: Most bridal manufacturers require 4-6 months. However, with the increasing demand for last-minute wedding gowns many manufacturers offer a rush delivery for a fee. Some manufacturers even stock dresses for quick delivery at no additional charge.
Question: How long before my wedding should I order my bridesmaids gowns?
Answer: We recommend 6 months, which allows for special orders in any color and sizes. This allows a comfortable amount of time for shipping to out-of-town bridesmaids, alterations, and free pressing before your special day. Much like bridal gowns, we specialize in rush orders.
Mother's gowns and flower girl dresses normally require 12 weeks.
Question: If a member of my bridal party is out of town, how and where should they get measured?
Answer: The ideal situtation is for your bridal party member(s) to be measured complimentary at a bridal store near them. The required measurements for ordering are: Bust, Waist (Natural Waist is approximately 2" above one's belly button), and Hip. We also need to have the approximate retail size and height to ensure the best size can be chosen.
Question: What type of deposit is required at the time of ordering?
Answer: All special orders require a minimum 50% deposit. We accept all major credit cards, cash and checks. (*Deposits are non-refundable even if a wedding is cancelled or postponed.)
Questions: Are appointments necessary to shop in your store?
Answer: No, we do not require appointments. Knowledgable and friendly sales associates are always ready to assist you and your bridal party. If you need to shop on the weekend, we are open on Saturdays from 10-5. We have several sales associates working during these busy hours, though there may be a wait for a dressing room.
Questions: Does your store do alterations?
Answer: Yes. We have talented seamstresses available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Having an appointment ensures that you are given the proper time and attention needed. There is a charge for ALL alterations. However, the pressing of garments purchased from our store is FREE.
Question: How much time is required for alterations to be completed?
Answer: We need 4-6 weeks for bridal gowns, and 3-4 weeks for bridesmaids, mother's gowns, and flower girl dresses.
